Overview of Responsibilities:

Position is 12 hour shifts

Prepare food items for the current meal. 

Place hot food items on cart to go upstairs to steam table. 

Place items on steam table and take and record temps. 

Serve lunch to Small Dining Room, Room Trays then Large Dining Room. 

After lunch, remove pans from Steam Table, wash steam table, bring pans down to be washed. 

Start prep for next meal.

Check menu for next day to see what needs to be pulled from freezer.

Take food temps and record 

Do daily cleaning by following posted cleaning schedule.

Sweep and mop work area before going home, lock all doors and place keys in locker.

Housekeeper | FT

7a-3:30p and EOW

 

Description

Luther Park Community has an opening for a housekeeper who works well as part of a team but is responsible for their own work. This employee will work at The Trinity Center and the Luther Park Apartments. Our Housekeeping crew works independently; each having their own assignments but also as a team to help each other complete all daily tasks in a timely manner.

Hours are 7am – 3:30pm and every other weekend.

 

Job Summary:

Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Environmental Services Supervisor.

Ensure all daily and deep cleaning duties are adhered to.

Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.

Ensure all cleaning chemicals are correctly and safely used and kept safely in locked cart.

Adhere to correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.

Be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.

Adhere to all policies and procedures that pertain to your position and department.

Dust, clean, and polish all fixtures, furniture, curtains, baseboards, vents, windows, fans, top of door frames, top of windows, etc.

Collect and dispose of trash properly.

Move furniture and other heavy objects as required to clean.

Assist with resident moves and preparing rooms for admissions.

Business Office Coordinator

Description

The person will provide administrative and secretarial support to the director and staff of the Gardens at Luther Park. Serves as the first point of contact for residents, families and employees. Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize and organize diversified workload and recommends changes in office practices or procedures.

There are a variety of duties that this position is responsible for including – but not limited to:

 

Administrative Support

  • Perform customer service functions by assisting residents, family members and employees and directing to the appropriate person.
  • Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate person. Order office and nursing supplies as needed.
  • Distributes mail/packages to residents’ doors.
  • Provide administrative support to director, health services and activity departments.
  • Assemble admission packets, ensuring information is current. Serve as a back-up for tours for prospective residents/families.
  • Enter new resident information into electronic health records and update as needed.
  • Maintain resident roster and provide occupancy reports as requested.
  • Monitor video cameras and doors and reports any concerns to the director. 
  • Maintain calendar of resident appointments and coordinate transportation when needed.
  • Assist with staff meetings, community events, assisted living week, etc.
  • Activates key fobs for new residents, family members and employees; keeps accurate record of Fob distribution; maintain key cabinet.
  • Manage building wide employee communications
  • Manage booking of guest apartment rental and the community room

Accounting

  • Prepare monthly billing statements for residents ensuring they accurately reflect charges for rent, health care packages and/or other charges and are sent in a timely manner.
  • Manage collection of past due accounts.
  • Prepare deposits and accounting of revenue from rent and health care fees including ACH payments and third party payers.
  • Serve as the liaison to long term care insurance companies.
  • Maintain records of security deposits and ensure timely refund of security deposits.
  • Process invoices for accounts payable.
  • Record guest dining and process payments or record in the appropriate resident account.
  • Maintain company credit card for the Gardens and submit monthly receipts.

We have an immediate opening for a part-time CMA 5:30am – 2pm and every other weekend. We would like a Certified Medication Aide in this position but will also consider a CNA that can get their Med manager cert ( we will pay for this).

A CMA is an important member of the overall care team at the Gardens Assisted Living. While working under the direction of a nurse, CMAs administer medications, help with daily activities and assist residents in a homelike environment. Interested individuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be a CNA and on the Iowa Registry in good standing and have successfully completed CMA training or Iowa’s assisted living medication manager course (or be willing to get your Med manager Certificate and we will pay for the course!)

Summary of Responsibilities

The Life Enrichment Assistant supports the overall Activities Program for Assisted Living at The Gardens at Luther Park Community. Responsibilities include one on one engagement with residents, conducting group activities, assisting residents with meals and other supportive activities as defined in resident care plans.

This is a part-time position from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday and Sunday.

 

Essential Duties

  • Serve plated food at noon meal and pass snacks throughout the day.
  • Organize and conduct at least two group activities per shift.
  • Visit and interact with residents one-on-one and conduct small group activities during any unoccupied time.
  • Invite and encourage residents to attend activities.  Knock on doors so they don’t forget to attend.
  • Record resident attendance at group activities.
  • Engage with families and update them on how their loved one id doing and provide feedback to management and staff on residents’ behaviors and activities.
  • Big source of feedback for nursing department by watching what is changing with residents.
